For PBL this term we have been creating marketable products for market day to raise money for a charity.My group is making pot plants with bubble art cut into shapes and then stuck onto the plant pot. For The plants we are having sun flowers so far it has been really fun making them.The market is on the 4th of December at St Francis of Assisi school if you would like to come.
we used Science For the bubble art Technology for all the advertising Engineering for the bubble art and we used Math when we measured how much paint we put in the bubble art.

Performance

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about cultural stories and the big question was:
What is the significance in the 21st Century of our Cultural stories?

First we brainstormed what culture is and came up with lots of ideas.Culture is where are we from,celebrations and Traditions 
Then we thought about our own culture and talked to our parents about our traditions and heritage. I wrote a post about my family and things we like to do.
In Literacy we read and discussed myths and legends from around the world then we concentrated on Maori legends. I read….The battle of the mountains Maui and the sun and heaps more  I retold the legend of Maui and the sun in my own words.

We made a performance about the story Battle of the Mountains. Some students wrote the script, some students took on the job of making all the artwork, some worked hard on organizing the music and others took on the role of bringing the story alive with dance and drama.

I think the show might impact on others by the story.

What I learned about working with others was that everyone has their own talents.

Irish food

Tradition Irish food is Irish cuisine,champ and shepherds pie.

There are a lot of fun sports in Ireland like Gaelic handball,Gaelic football,rounders and camogie

In Ireland there are a lot of traditions like
Christmas in the winter,Gaelic(the Irish language),st Patrick day and the Gaelic games 

The Gaelic games
The Gaelic games  is in Ireland.It is called the Gaelic games because Gaelic is the Irish language.
The Gaelic games are a bunch of sports.

Clip & Climb

On  Wednesday the 9th of may we went to clip & climb my Friday family went there last. My favourite one was the speed challenge and the stair way to heaven. I got to the top of both it was really fun. I went on mostly all of them. Have you ever been to clip & climb?
