Top team

This week on Monday we did Top team. Top team is when you get into groups  and do challenges.
My favourite challenges were the water ones there was also a one were you build a bridge out of puzzle pieces and then put it together. We also had to do a memory card games and we built a tower.

Athletics

Athletics

On Wednesday, we did Athletics. The sports were sprints, long destinations, high jump, long jump, discus and shot put.
Some people got through to Zones if you came 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th. It was a good day to have athletics because it was warm and sunny. The first thing I did, was sprints then long distance until lunch and then I did high jump. After that, it was discus, then long jump and shot put. In shot put I came fourth but nine year old girls don't get to go to zones for discus and shot put.
What would you go to ones for?

Play Eat Learn

 At are school this term we have started play eat lean.  Play eat learn is when we play before we eat to help our focus. I like that we get to play but not so much eat after.I prefer this time table then are last. It dose help focus with my learning as well.We also get to sometimes read a book while we eat.

Team building

Hello and welcome to another blog post.This week we have been learning about team building,  team building is when you work as a team to complete challenges we had to complete four challenges with four teachers. The first challenge was you had to build a stretcher out of paper  string and tape. The second challenge was you had to make a chain out of paper and tape who ever had the longest chain won. The third you had to make a cup tower and you couldn't use your hands.The last challenge was when you got dry spaghetti marshmallows and had to build a tower. We do team building because it will help work together. what do you think makes a good team.Thanks for reading. 

This is a story I did for writing follow up in a workshop. My workshop was on The Game of Awesome which we learnt with Mrs Roach.

101 slimy eels

Ding the bell rang me and my friend Hannah were really excited because us and or mums are going on a camping trip. and as soon as we got home we went to my room to pick up our bags and put them in the car. mum gave me and Hannah some food and we set off for camp. when we arrived we set up our tent and put our sleeping bags on the flour and went to sleep. In the  morning we had breakfast and headed to a river. when we got there we saw a room on the other side of the river and went inside. we walk down a corridor and saw 101 slimy eels I feel sick I said. we saw a sign that said please keep away from the 101 slimy eels. we all ran away and went back to the river.after we went to the river there were eels coming out.

My treasure

Treasure

We have being learning about our family's culture and so today I will be sharing my treasure.  

My treasure is coat of arms. It was bought in Dublin, Ireland by my grandpa in 1978, while he was touring with the All Blacks as a journalist. A coat of arms is a shield with a family name, crest and motto . On the shield is my grandpa’s last name and my grandma's last name. The family crest’s are pictures and the motto’s are in Latin.
